What is FT wax?
Fischer-Tropsch waxes are synthetic waxes that are produced from natural gas and air using the Fischer-Tropsch process. They consist mainly of unbranched hydrocarbon chains and have a linear structure, which results in a low viscosity. In addition, they exhibit an increased hardness and high temperature resistance compared to other waxes. Fischer-Tropsch waxes provide many advantageous product properties, which are useful in many applications.

What is Fischer-Tropsch wax used for?
The Fischer-Tropsch waxes of TER Chemicals can be used as lubricants and mold release agents in plastic processing or as a dispersion for textile auxiliary agents. In printing inks and varnishes they are used to improve abrasion resistance, matting and scratch resistance. In addition, Fischer-Tropsch waxes are used in the manufacture of adhesives and cosmetics as well as in metalworking and bitumen modification.
